Aranui Pond, Mount Wellington - Desilt
Glasgow Contractors was approached to clean out Aranui Pond which is in Mount Wellington, Auckland.
This pond was in poor condition with excessive amounts of silt, this reduced the ponds retention capabilities significantly, due to the small space constraints around the pond it was decided to remove the silt mechanically, a total of 2252 tonnes of silt was removed.
The Scope of works included silt and vegetation removal, fish management and rock scour protection by the incoming stormwater pipes.
