Taiaotea Creek Browns Bay - Daylighting Project

Taiaotea Reserve offered the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our skills in a range of areas. The project included naturalising over 200m of existing concrete lined stream, numerous streamworks features (which will be discussed further in the Streamworks Delivery Programme section) silt removal (a mixture of our unique amphibious dredging and more traditional methods), removing exisitng bridge structures, conversion of a dilapidated pond into a 2,700m² wetland, footpaths, timber structures, numerous park amenities, landscaping and planting.

The wetland was completed with an impressive 80-meter timber boardwalk which curves to connect both sides of the waterway for park users to enjoy. The wetland plants have now well and truly established with the reserve being one of the most aesthetically pleasing projects we have completed to date.
