Cole Glasgow

Director and Operations Manager

 

Cole is Managing Director of Glasgow Contractors and has been involved in civil construction and project management for approximately 15 years.  Knowledge and experience obtained in plumbing, fire sprinkler installation, directional drilling and plastic extrusion welding have put Cole in good stead for the civil construction and drainage industry.

Cole has a wealth of knowledge and experience in undertaking civil and drainage based projects.  Cole has successfully completed projects for a wide range of large Auckland based construction firms in addition to Watercare and Auckland Council. 

As the Company has grown, so to has Cole's ability to undertake larger and more complex projects. Managing project time frames and client specific requirements is where Cole excels.


Oliver Ferrick, CPEng, MEngNZ, BE (Hons.)

Director and Project Engineer

.Oliver is an experienced construction and design based stormwater engineer. He joined Glasgow Contractors in Oct 2021 after ten years’ experience as a consulting engineer. During his time as a consultant, Oliver gained extensive experience in three waters design, contract management and asset management.

Ollie has dedicated his career to delivering environmental based stormwater projects. He is a well regarded expert on both design and construction of streamworks, outfall renewals, fish passage, erosion remediation and wetlands. Ollie has an advanced knowledge of ecological engineering practices

 
 

Michael Cole

Project Manager

Michael has been involved in the civil Engineering industry for over 14 years. 

He has recently joined the Glasgow team from South Africa where he managed and executed an array of Civil Engineering Projects ranging from new residential developments to bulk housing projects.

Michael has been involved in both aspects of the field (design and execution), Michael worked for Civil Engineering Consultants for 5 years where he was involved in the design and checking the works installed by the appointed contractors and 9 years in the construction of the works on the ground.

Michael worked his way up the ladder in the Civil Engineering industry and has a vast array of knowledge in all aspects of work in the field.

 
 

Kade Glasgow C.A.

Director, Health and Safety Officer and Quality Assurance Manager

 

Kade spent his first five years of his working life at professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and the ASB Bank.   After rising through the ranks to become a Senior Tax Consultant, Kade saw an opportunity to join his brother Cole at Glasgow Contractors at the start of 2013.  Kade’s business knowledge complements Cole’s practical know-how and as a team, the two have successfully managed to tender and undertake higher value and more complex projects than previously achievable.

On a micro-level, Kade is charged with project costing and budgeting, health and safety monitoring and reporting, quality assurance management, set-up and administering of a project’s contractual terms, compliance with environmental best practice and liaison with any involved or affected parties including the project’s principal, local Iwi, subcontractors, suppliers and the project’s neighbours.

 

Julian Raethel

Business and Communications Manager

Julian joined the Glasgow team in 2016 after accepting a job offer as Business and Communications Manager. He has since grabbed all opportunities that have come his way, including experience in project management and health and safety.

As Business and Communications Manager, Julian assists the Project Manager in conversing with all affected stakeholders and residents. We believe that creating an open and constant dialogue with members of the public pays dividends. All project-specific questions can be handled by us, which helps free up time for the Healthy Waters project team. Julian will also assist the management teams in quality, procurement and health and safety aspects of the project. This includes organising site-specific paperwork, auditing, inspections, testing, identifying defects, compliance and reporting.
